cTrader shows order sizes in units by default. Here’s how to switch the display to lots — for everything, or per asset class.
In short: open Settings from the bottom-left corner, go to Assets, and switch each asset class from Units to Lots.
Open Settings
Click the cog icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the cTrader window. By default, all order sizes are shown in Units rather than Lots.
Go to Assets
In the settings menu down the left-hand side, select Assets under the Application heading.
The Assets tab, with Lots selected for every asset class.
Select Lots
Choose Lots against Default Asset trading units to change everything at once. To set it per market instead, tick Set units per asset class and choose Lots for each one individually.
- Asset classes
- Metals (Spot) · Oil (Spot) · Forex (Spot) · Indices (Spot) · Cryptocurrencies
Changes are applied immediately — there’s no save button, and you can close the settings window straight away.
Why it matters: the Max Lot Rule for your account is set in lots, not units, so switching the display makes it far easier to check your position size against your limit before you trade.
