IF Micro Crypto

Below, you’ll find the key rules and answers to common questions. For full details, please refer to our Trading Rules and FAQ.

Risk Limits

Daily Loss

You may not lose more than 4% of your account value per day.

At 17:00 EST (market rollover), your Daily Loss Limit is recalculated based on the higher of:

  • Your Balance (excluding open trades)
  • Your Equity (including open trades)

Example: If your Balance is $10,000 and your Equity is $10,500 at 17:00 EST, the Daily Loss Limit for the next day will be 4% of $10,500 = $420.

Static Drawdown

Your maximum loss is limited to 6% of your starting balance. This is calculated as a static loss from your original starting balance.

Example: With a $10,000 starting balance, your account can’t drop below $9,400.

Risk per Trade Idea

You may not risk more than 1% of your starting account balance at any time in one trade idea. A trade idea includes all open positions on a single instrument in the same direction (Buy or Sell). Closing and reopening a position in the same direction on the same instrument within 10 minutes is treated as the same trade idea and does not reset the limit. Exceeding this limit will result in a hard breach.

Payouts

IF Micro Crypto offers on-demand payouts — you can withdraw your profit as soon as you meet these conditions:

  • Your best trading day must not exceed 15% of your total profit Example: If your total profit is $1,000, your best day must be $150 or less
  • Your net profit must reach at least 5% of your starting balance

Once these are met, you can request a payout at any time from your dashboard.

How to request a withdrawal:

  1. Verify you meet the On-Demand Payout qualifications and close all active trades before requesting your withdrawal.
  2. Go to your dashboard and choose your preferred withdrawal method.
  3. Choose the amount.

Minimum Trading Days

There are no minimum trading days required on IF Micro Crypto.

Prohibited Practices and Strategies

Certain strategies and behaviors are not allowed and may result in account termination or profit removal. This includes:

  • One-sided bets
  • Grid trading
  • High-frequency trading (trades under 60s or excessive volume)
  • Copy trading between unrelated accounts
  • Usage of public third-party expert advisors
  • Reverse trading and group hedging
  • Group copying/Account management
  • Account churning (Rolling)
  • Exploiting system glitches
  • Exploiting inefficiencies of trading platforms

News Trading

News trading is enabled by default on all IF Micro Crypto accounts. You are free to open and close trades around major economic events. However, news straddling or any execution designed to gain an unfair advantage is not permitted.

Holding Rules

You may hold trades both overnight and through the weekend. No add-on is required for weekend holding.

Account Limits

You can hold multiple IF Micro Crypto accounts. However, the combined starting balance across all your accounts in all programs must not exceed $940,000.

Scaling does not count toward your limit — only starting balances are used.

Scaling

You can increase your balance up to 100% of your original starting balance by growing your account by at least 10% over a 90-day period. Each time you achieve this, you’ll receive a 25% increase to your starting balance.

The process is simple:

  1. Increase your balance by 10% or more and ensure at least 90 days have passed since account opening.
  2. Contact support at support@instantfunding.com with subject “Scaling Request”. Include your Account ID and confirm your 10%+ gain and 90+ day account age.
  3. That’s it! Our team will verify your achievement and add 25% of your starting balance to your account.

You can repeat this process every 90 days, gradually increasing your account size up to double the original amount.

Inactivity

If no trades are placed within 60 days of your account purchase or after the last trade, your account will be automatically closed.
