Why some crypto transactions need verification?

Starting January 1, 2026, some crypto payments and payouts require additional verification due to new global compliance requirements (the Crypto Travel Rule). These changes apply to transactions processed through Confirmo and are regulatory, not optional.

How does this affect me?

  • Payments you make over €500 require KYC verification before processing
  • Payouts you receive over €500 require KYC verification
  • Transactions under €500 are not affected

Do I need to verify my identity for crypto payments?

Only if your payment exceeds €500. For payments over this threshold, Confirmo will prompt you to complete KYC verification. The specific requirements depend on your country of residence.

Yes, if your payout exceeds €500, it requires KYC verification under the Crypto Travel Rule.

If your payout requires verification:
