A reference guide to the terms used across your trading account.
ACCOUNT VALUES
Balance The total value of completed trades, deposits, and withdrawals in a trading account. This number doesn’t include profits or losses from currently open positions. Example: After closing a profitable trade of +$500, balance increases from $10,000 to $10,500.
Equity The total value of a trading account at any moment, including the balance plus any unrealized profits or losses from open positions. For example, if the balance is $10,000 and open trades show +$500 profit, the equity would be $10,500.
RISK MANAGEMENT
Max Drawdown A protective limit on total account losses. For example, with a 10% max drawdown on a $10,000 account, trading gets suspended if equity drops to $9,000 or below.
Daily Drawdown Similar to max drawdown but measured within a single day. For example, a 5% daily drawdown limit means losses cannot exceed 5% of equity during any single day.
Trailing Drawdown A drawdown level that trails at 6% of your account balance, following upward as your balance grows from closed profitable positions. As your account profits, the drawdown floor rises with it — locking in progress while still giving room to trade.
Example: with $10,000 starting balance, your Maximum Trailing Drawdown is at $9,400. If you then make Profit on your account and it reaches a closed balance of $10,500. Your Maximum Trailing Loss would be at $9,900.
As the account goes into profit, your Maximum Trailing Drawdown trails based solely on the closed trades. It does not trail past your starting balance.
Account Drawdown Tracks the floating PnL and equity of your current open positions. If the unrealised loss on open trades exceeds 2% of your starting balance at any moment, all positions are closed automatically.
Example: On a $10,000 starting balance, if open positions show a combined floating loss of more than $200, they are closed automatically.
Smart Drawdown A dynamic drawdown model that starts at −10% and adjusts to −5% once a 5% gain is achieved. The limit only shifts upward — it won’t tighten again unless the account is scaled. Learn more about Smart Drawdown here.
Example: On a $10,000 account, the initial floor is $9,000. After reaching $10,500 in balance, the floor adjusts permanently to $9,500.
Breach What happens when trading rules are violated — most commonly by exceeding a drawdown limit. A breach deactivates the account. A new account can be purchased through the dashboard.
PROFIT SHARE & SCALING
Profit Target Every product which has an evaluation phase has a profit target the trader is required to achieve. Once the profit target is reached the trader automatically passes through to the funded stage. At the funded stage a new account is issued.
Example: A trader earns 9% in profit or $9,000 on a product with a starting balance of $100,000. The trader passes the evaluation phase, the account is frozen and a new funded account is issued to the trader.
Profit Share Once eligible, a trader can request a withdrawal and keep a percentage of the profits earned — the rest goes back to the firm. The standard profit share is 80%, meaning for every $100 in profit, the trader receives $80. Add-ons are available that can raise this to 90%.
Example: A trader earns $1,000 in profit and requests a withdrawal. At 80% profit share they receive $800. With the 90% add-on, that becomes $900.
Scaling A reward system for consistent profitable trading that allows successful traders to grow their account size over time. Detailed scaling conditions can be found here.
Spreads The difference between the buy (ask) and sell (bid) prices. Example: If EURUSD has a buy price of 1.1002 and sell price of 1.1000, the spread is 0.0002 (2 pips). Lower spreads are generally better for traders.
Payout (Withdrawal) Earned profits can be withdrawn to your preferred payment method — bank account or crypto wallet. More details here.
